How do you create a free vehicle contact QR code?
CarQR does not encode your phone number inside the QR. The code opens a controlled alert page created for the vehicle.

Both methods help somebody reach the owner of a parked car. The difference is the information left on the glass and how contact is limited.

Does the free vehicle QR expire?
The Free QR for the first vehicle remains usable while the account and vehicle record are active. An old link stops working if the vehicle or QR is disabled.
Does the scanner need the CarQR app?
No. A phone camera can open the web alert page, and the scanner needs neither the app nor a CarQR account to send an alert.
Is the vehicle owner's phone number visible?
The account phone number is not shown on the public QR page. A separate vehicle contact number can appear only when the owner adds it and explicitly chooses to publish it.
Where should I place the vehicle QR?
Choose a windscreen corner that is readable from outside without obstructing the driver's view. Check tint and reflections and follow local rules.
